Antioxidant therapies in the prevention of age-related macular degeneration.
This literature review highlights the value of dietary supplements in the treatment of AMD (age-related macular degeneration). In particular, it points out that it is women at higher risk of cardiovascular disease who benefit.

2.Stimulation of degenerated retinal tissue? A photoelectric film is able to stimulate the degenerated retinal tissues of the eye, acting as a retinal prosthesis.
This study demonstrates how changes in electrical potential can be a useful approach to stimulate nerves in the human body.

3.Discovered the pathway which facilitates the regeneration of retinal ganglion cells.
Poor regeneration of retinal ganglion cell (RBC) axons in glaucoma sufferers, for example, leads to irreversible vision loss. However, the pathway mTOR, which is implicated in CGR differentiation mechanisms, could be an alternative approach to facilitate the regeneration of axons in the central nervous system and help reduce or recover the loss of function of these cells.

4.Is there an endogenous protective factor for diabetic retinopathy? Apparently so.
A study conducted in a large population of patients with diabetes showed that high expressions of retinol-binding protein 3 (RBP3) are negatively correlated with the severity of diabetic retinopathy, the most frequent ocular complication, which affects about 35% of diabetic patients.

Does one necessarily have to look into the eyes of the interlocutor to be perceived as making eye contact? A study shows that it is actually sufficient to look around the face. A curiosity that could be welcomed by all those who experience anxiety when looking straight into another person's eyes.

6.Dry eye syndrome (DED) may compromise the visual prognosis of the patient undergoing cataract surgery.
A proper preoperative assessment of the presence of DED should always be done in order to reduce dissatisfaction of both the patient and the surgeon after surgery. In this study, a summary of the most important clinical aspects to be considered before and after cataract surgery in patients with DED is proposed.

7.Constantly rubbing the eyes has complications.
Intense and prolonged rubbing, especially due to eye allergies, can lead to ectatic disorders, such as keratoconus, as well as acute perforations or prolapse of the iris. Therefore, it is important to adopt strategies that eliminate eye rubbing and its consequences.

8.What does endophthalmitis look like and what consequences does it have? Clostridium spp. ?
A recently published literature review collected a number of cases of endophthalmitis from infections of Clostriudium sppthe consequences of which for the affected person can be very severe.
