Eye surface in the spotlight at SICSSO 2018

Experts discuss the latest updates

The congress of the Italian Society of Stem Cells and Ocular Surface (S.I.C.S.O.) is being held this year in Paestum (SA) from 21 to 23 June.
For participants, it will be an important opportunity to learn more about many topics related to research and innovations in ocular surface diseases, corneal transplantation and new diagnostic and treatment techniques through the rich programme.
Scheduled events include a symposium entitled 'Targeted approach for dynamic ocular surface management', to be held on Friday 22 at 13:30-14:30 in the Neptune Hall.
Speakers will be Prof. Piera Versura, the Dr Eleonora Favuzza and the Prof. Rita Mencucci.
Prof. Versura, associate professor at the University of Bologna and head of the Laboratory of Ocular Surface Analysis, will discuss the multifactorial nature of the dry eye and will present the latest updates that emerged at DEWS II 2017, sponsored by TFOS (Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society - http://www.tearfilm.org/).
This will be followed by presentations by Dr Favuzza and Prof. Mencucci, who will focus on the management and treatment aspects of dry eye in clinical practice.
