First data collected at Eucornea 2017
At the Eucornea 2017 congress, held in Lisbon on 6-7 October 2017, the first forms of the ODAK survey aimed at assessing how widespread the knowledge of Acanthamoeba keratitis and currently used off-label treatments is among ophthalmologists in Europe.
Approximately 57% of event participants and the84% of respondents stated that they had managed cases of Acanthamoeba keratitis. In terms of the opportunity to promote awareness of this rare condition, 95% of the sample confirmed the need for greater awareness on the part of ophthalmologists and for initiatives to promote knowledge and management training of this serious form of keratitis.
In the image, a summary of the first processing.
We invite those who have not yet done so to take part in the test at http://www.odak-project.eu/resources/odak-ak-awareness-survey
