In this third appointment dedicated to myodesopias, better known as flying flies, we delve into the most frequent causes that can lead to the appearance of this eye disorder.

Myodesopias can occur following cataract removal surgery, due to infection or eye trauma . Among the risk factors, experts also include myopia, in which the eyeball that is more elongated than normal also leads to early deterioration of the vitreous body and the appearance of flying flies.

During summer periods, moreover, myodesopias may manifest themselves in a more important way due to the dehydration process caused by high temperatures, which also affects the vitreous.
